During my recent pottery exchange trip in Taiwan, it brought me exposure to ceramic artists who specialise in the craft of contemporary functional ware. As ceramics art has always been a form of creation that is influenced by one's surrounding, present encounters and memories, while working on this art piece that reflects on my overseas experience, its characteristics also embody on the neighbouring construction that has been occurring over the past few months. The choice of using brown clay with raw finish represents construction materials while the crafting details is a deconstructed expression of tower cranes.
